TERESA STRATAS IN UNDER THE PIANO

Several dvd’s featuring the legendary Teresa Stratas are now widely and easily available. Her Traviata film, her operetta films, several operatic appearances : they’re all on DVD.
I’d never heard of this Canadian film in which she brilliantly portrays a ‘faded opera star’. The film goes back to 1996 and will surely appeal to all viewers being her fans or not. Whether her first (1961!) movie appearance in the Canadians – an American style Canadian western- has gotten a dvd release is unknown to me. Also isn’t it high time Kultur video should release their 1983 ‘Stratosphere’ - an excellent documentary- on Stratas career on the dvd medium?
