The title of the book may be misleading as this beautiful release is not a biography at all but mainly a photograph book illustrating the impressive career of the Adria born tenor (1938).
The photographs (all from the tenor’s collection) are preceded by a biographical outline in both English and French. Though the biography states that Lamberti (also known as Casellato-Lamberti but NOT related to Renzo Casellato) sang more than 80 different operas the repertory list spread over two pages only lists 62.

The vast amount of photographs (black and white) are listed according to roles but also include playbills, private photos and photos with colleagues.
The book concludes with a wonderful discography including colour photos of all original releases  both live and commercial.
In spite of the lack of a chronology a worthy tribute to not only a great tenor but also a great artist.
